This is a nice idea and could be useful, but it does not enable the provision of detailed feedback.
For instance, I voted in favor of increasing the upload size of google docs. That is because my average Word file (that often includes embedded tables, images, etc.) is close to your size limit and sometimes as much as 10 MB (or more).
But it is hard to state one's case with such detail in the product ideas forum.

I just wanted to suggest two purchases that would make my experience better and flesh out two Google products, I would like to be able to do basic photo editing in Picasa Web Albums which is why I'd like to see you guys buy Sumo Paint. And I'd like to see the diagramming functions of Creately appear in Google Docs.

Modify "forms" to populate the fields from a spreadsheet if the "first field" is not null (match "first field" input to cells in column B --assuming column A is the timestamp-- if there is a match populate fields from that row if not return an empty form..
This would allow for changes to be implemented instead of "additions only"

Not sure how to submit an idea but if I could ... I'd suggest that when a person opens up their gmail email account, that the navigation along the top bar next to the word "Reader" have a count of how many unread items there are. I tend to go to the reader to check but would be very happy to be able to glance along the navigation bar to see that there are (?) amount of new feeds available in my reader to go check. Thanks.

In order of importance:
1. Sync of Outlook calendar, contacts, tasks, etc. directly from a PC - not necessarily through an Exchange Server. Put them in alpha order with user choice by last name first or first name first.
2. Clearly defined and dedicated technical support for issues with mobile devices - NOT some forum of users, but from a Google trained technician.
3. Ability to read, write, edit, and compose docs, spreadsheets, data, and maybe even presentations from the newest mobile OS. Do NOT wait until some future date to provide this necessary function for a "smart" phone. Otherwise, it is just plain dumb!!
4. If you do not want to support the above issues, then provide FREE apps from companies that will do this for you - for example Datavis's "Documents to Go."
Trying to find answers to simple technical issues has been an ongoing nightmare with runarounds to forums that do not cover the subject and not readily finding customer service from the horse's mouth - Google...

I really like the ability of sharing doc between people especially at the workplace - the only problem is that most workplaces don't like their information out on other company's servers. Can you sell a package so that companies can put this on their own servers and use it like excel, etc. I would like this for both your docs and your calendar products - if I could install them on a server and give open access it would be great.

You should change the name to refer to OpenDocument, not OpenOffice.

With the Gmail App on the iPhone, I would like to see it flagging up that you have an email, rather than on the email App that comes with the iPhone.

The killer feature missing for Google Docs for me is the ability to set up automatic synchronization between Google Docs Folders and PC Folders. Especially if it uses shadow copies (historical versions). Not just for Google Docs formats but for all files stored in the cloud.
Please make Windows and Linux clients if you implement this!

We really need a spell checker that will work with Documents to go and/or all other office-like apps!! This is the only thing missing, and I am sure many other agree that it is badly needed!

I would love to have:
1. A friendly template editor in Presentations, the option of using a MS-Office-like template, I mean, that can use the same images in all the slides and (in some future) do customization per style in template ;)
2. Hyperlinks between slides for Presentations. This feature is very important (for our company, and for me) because you can link and direct ideas in the presentations. I mean, not always will go from Slide 1 to Slide 2... sometimes my viewers want to go to Slide 3 from Slide 1.

I was just reading some of the form product ideas and someone mentioned that for Multiple Choice - go to page...there should be an option to go to page # only. The poster said that the user still had to go thru the remaining pages. i.e, if there were 4 pages and the user filled out page 2, it should have an option to bypass page 3 and 4. The way to get around this is to create a 5th page for the submit button.
Then for each previous page, select the option to go directly to the submit page.

I would prefer it if I could see how many pages I've written in Documents. I don't like the idea of simply extending one page. I don't know how much I've typed then. For example, in Microsoft Word and NeoOffice, they show the number of pages. And this is just a guess, but I assume the same is true of Apple's Pages because it would be odd to call the program Pages if it only had a single page.

I would like to be able to use the old version of google docs or to be able to find the instructions to the new version.
I don't appreciate losing control of my mouse. is'nt there any way to avoid this?
Why would there be this drastic change, with no way to find out how to use the new software?
couldn't new features been added to the old docs?
couldn't the instructions for the new system be available somewhere?
couldn't it be an option to use the old version.
I never had any problem with the old version, why on earth throw it away?

I would really love to be able to view multiple docs on screen at once (without opening multiple tabs and windows).
Especially linking docs. For example, say I'm writing a script, but I want a separate doc listing my characters. I would like to be able to see that list while I am writing.
Essentially I would like to be able to open one doc, and have everything I want associated with that doc (pics, docs, spreadsheets, etc.) all open with it and be available without having to switch between screens. Kind of like having all my paper work on my desk so I just have to glance over to find what i need.
